School Visits
The Maine Community Foundation
As donors, we believe that it is essential for us to personally engage with each of the schools, teachers and students to provide encouragement and support once the funded projects are underway. To this end, we visit each program twice during the school year. This allows us to assess first hand the benefits derived from our grant making, and to shape our thinking in future years.
The Maine Community Foundation plays an essential role in our grant making, coordinating with school administrators, and providing support to teachers throughout the application process. A statewide organization with offices in Ellsworth and Portland, the foundation partners with donors and community groups to strengthen Maine communities through grants and scholarships.
